So, really great day today. The homeless kids at SOX place started picking on me, and apparently that means that they like me. We are eating tonight at The Jerusalem Cafe. Some Arabic restaurant or something. Not really sure if I’m excited or not about it. Well, let’s hope that my stomach agrees with the food.
Second week of internships, I really enjoy mine. Life here is awesome, I’m having a blast. Class is pretty awesome, im learning a ton about myself that i never knew. I do miss my family and friends though. It’s odd not seeing my buddies like every day. Being homesick isn’t so fun, and it’s kind of inconvenient that I would be homesick three weeks into the program.
Went backpacking for the first time. It was pretty awesome. All the people on this program are really awesome. This is going to be a blast.
Walked around Durango last night. Pretty cool town. Class today, and a surprise tonight!
This will be my blog for the 2011-2012 Kivu Gap Year. My name is Logan, I’m 18, and I’m ready for a great experience. This is a great opportunity, and will be the adventure of a lifetime.
